Failing As A Parent

Ever felt like you’re failing as a parent? Like no matter how hard you try, it’s never enough? I’ve been there too. I’ve doubted myself. I’ve cried when no one was watching. I’ve gone on long walks just to breathe. And yes—there were moments I lost my temper and wished I could take it back.

If you’ve felt this way, hear me now: you are not alone.

Parenting is messy. It’s exhausting. It’s full of moments that break you… and moments that make you.

For my fellow single parents, I see you. You are carrying so much on your shoulders, doing the work of two, and yet you keep going. That is strength.

For parents of children with special educational needs, I know the battles you fight—the patience it takes, the love you pour out, even on the hardest days.

We live in a world that loves to show perfect families with perfect smiles, but that’s not real life. Real life is stumbling, learning, and showing up even when you feel like you have nothing left to give.

So let’s be real with each other. No more pretending. No more feeling like we have to have it all together.

Drop a comment and share—what’s been the hardest part of parenting for you? Because when we talk about it, we remind each other that we’re not alone Let’s change the conversation. Let’s lift each other up.

Thank you for following, liking, supporting and being part of this space.

I’m Glenn

I am an Advocate of Hope, dedicated to supporting and empowering parents. My mission is to provide resources and encouragement for those navigating the unique challenges of raising children with special educational needs and disabilities. I don’t approach this journey as an expert, but as a fellow parent of an SEN child who understands the struggles, the joys, and the importance of community.

Together, I believe we can make a meaningful difference—not just in each other’s lives, but most importantly, in the lives of our children.

I sincerely wish you and your family strength, joy, and every success as you continue to advocate for your child’s future.
